The crash was reported to the Cobb County Police Department at around 6:45 p.m. on December 28.Law enforcement reports indicate that a Nissan Pathfinder was involved in a collision in the area of Lost Mountain Road and Macland Woods Drive. As a result of the collision, the vehicle went off the roadway. The Pathfinder then returned to the road and crashed into a concrete drainage pipe. The driver, identified as Margaret Hamby, was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
